Barbara Bennett

Barbara Bennett earned her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Texas Tech University in 1959 and taught in Los Fresnos and Brownsville school districts. In 1986 she studied journalism at Texas Southmost College in Brownsville, where she was news editor of The Collegian and editor of the yearbook. Since retiring from teaching she has done free-lance writing for children's magazines.
