This new edition presents a complete and up-to-date picture of the institutions of the European Union and its substantive law. In particular, there is increased coverage of the European Court of Justice and the Court of First Instance, the Community Legal Order, and Subsidiarity. There are new sections on Flexibility and External Relations. The chapters on substantive law refer in detail to the relevant provisions of the Treaties and secondary legislation and contain comprehensive and critical analysis of the evolution of the case-law of the Community Courts on the free movement of goods, persons and services, competition policy, sex discrimination, education and vocational training and external relations.
