W???re 7't' die gew???hnlichste oder gar die einzige Vertretung des skr._r im Prakrit, so konnte man annehmen, es sei das kaum h???rbare fi, welches im skr. _7' enthalten sein soll im Prakrit horbarer geworden. Da dem aber nicht so ist, und vielmehr ri fast die seltenste Vertretung des skr. Ist, so nehme ich an, dafs das i des erw???hnten um 9*zza1t nichts als eine Schw???chung und zugleich Umstellung des a des im Sanskrit als Urform f???r nnd-m vorauszusetzen den arnd-m sei. Solche Umstellungen und zugleich Schw??? chungen von ar zu fi gibt es auch im Sanskrit; unter andern im Passiv (derjenigen Wurzeln auf ar, welche eine Zusammenziehung dieser Sylbe zu r zulassen), im Fall nicht dem r oder seinem Vorg???nger ar zwei Consonan ten vorangehen; daher z. B. @21???' kriya't??? er wird ge macht, von der Wurzel lcdr, kr. Unter dem Schutze zweier vorangehenden Consonanten behauptet sich die urspr???ngliche Form ar, daher z. B.
