Most of the expeditions assume that you have transport, and those which do not require it are indicated and are written as though Shieldaig is the starting point. The 'climbs' often involve descending again by the route of your ascent, which builds in a considerable safety factor if you are new to the area and also the comfort and pleasure of returning over now familiar territory.
