I have read many books on the Romanov dynasty and particularly the last Tsar so this title really intrigued me. I was left confused and more than a little disappointed by this book. I am no stranger to the concept of past life regression; reincarnation and the afterlife. I have also read many books by psychic mediums such as James Van Praagh and John Edward. For Donald Norsic to really believe that he as the reincarnated Tsar Nicholas II really exerted any impact on the disintegration of the Soviet Union is simply unbelievable. I don't doubt the author's sincerity since if his intention was to make a bundle of money selling this story it obviously didn't work. There are so many claims made that we can only take his word that he had no prior knowledge of historical events and no interest in the subject matter before becoming involved with finding out his past life as Nicholas II that strains credulity. The last couple of chapters wherein he takes credit for predicting the events that brought down the Soviet regime and even considers himself a causal factor is just beyond the pale. All in all an entertaining story but just so far "out there" that the final conclusions are simply ludicrous.
