The stories are more varied and interesting than the more recent cartoons which seem to follow the same five or six plot lines over and over. This edition was in beautiful condition, and will make for years of fine reading to my daughters.

Great Book!
This book includes all of the original Thomas the Tank Engine stories published between the 1940s and the 1970s. Many of the stories are the same as the early children's shows with a more period flavor. I highly recommend the book.

Wonderful!!!
I am so glad you recommended this book! I gave it to my grandson for his birthday and it has been his favorite gift. It has been read to him over and over even it is a very long book. He loves it and always has many questions about what is going on in the stories. What a good idea to have all of the Thomas stories in one book, too.
