Good. 1949 hardcover/good condition with just a little edge wear to boards/light crushing to head and heel spine bands/dust jacket has a larger chip, about 1.5 inch long by 1 inch tall on front cover/takes most of the word "The" out of the title/has some other chipping and tears, edge wear, and bends but color still fairly strong/inscribed by author/evidence of erased pencil marks on front endpaper/text clean of marks/binding sound/scarce with dust jacket and with author signature.
