Seller's Description:
Very Good in Good jacket. Book. 8vo-over 7¾"-9¾" tall. New York, NY, Atheneum, 1961. Early reprint. 8vo. Rust-colored cloth with gilt lettering embossed on spine, bright yellow endpapers, top edge of text block stained green 241 pp. This book ranges all over the western half of the United States, but it is from the plain and prairie country that it seems to have acquired most of its flavor; from a domestic explosion between man and wife to the devotion of a little boy for his Indian pony, these stories reach into your heart. Dust jacket is lightly soiled and has 1" tear at bottom of spine, writing "Z4" in pencil on back, owner name on endpaper, discoloration spots on endpapers, faded green lines at top of text block, text block clean, bright, appears gently read. Very good in a good dust jacket, protected by a mylar cover.
