Seller's Description:
Fine in Near Fine jacket. 8vo., 318pp. Beautiful First Edition of the ninth book of the Pimpernel's adventures. Bound in light blue cloth with titles in black on front board and spine. Square, tight and clean pages throughout with little or no wear save some gentle bumping to spine ends. Mild off-setting to end-papers. Very well-preserved. Equally attractive unclipped, though unpriced, dust jacket, (7'6 net on the spine panel), has some wear to edges and tips with a couple of tiny nicks and closed tears. Still remarkably fresh and bright with no chipping, creases or tears. A simply gorgeous collectable copy. Not an uncommon title but quite scarce in such high-grade condition.
