Fun with Jewish holidays
This book seems to be a take-off on the popular "Jewish Catalog" books which were fun and full of useful information for adults. (My husband even used one of them to find out how to build our first "sukkah.") Elementary school-age children will find this book fun too. It's filled with crafts and other activities for various Jewish holidays, as well as poems, stories, songs, and even recipes. The material presented wasn't new to me, but the kids who made "projects" using the easy-to-follow directions and recipes were really proud of their finished products. And the illustrations were fun too. Buy this book if you're into "family time" with a purpose, or even just to read the poems and the stories.
