Releasing old wounds to embrace a better future is a thread that runs through this character-driven story layered with meaning and soulful phrasing. If you�ve ever been deeply wounded, then you know that releasing the pain can be frightening, because sometimes that�s all you have to hold on to, that�s all you know. These are characters you can relate to in that regard. Often, novels offer to lift readers up, but this one actually does.
