As in the textbook, the communicative nature of activities has been maintained so that students are required to think about the meaning of what they are writing, and grammatical forms are not practiced without relating them to meaning. The order of the activities follows directly the order of presentation of vocabulary and grammar in the corresponding Tema of the textbook, so that instructors who cover only part of a Tema during a class can easily assign the matching activities from that Tema of the SAM. As in the textbook, the final Tema of the SAM reviews material from throughout the chapter contextualized in a real-life setting. This SAM volume corresponds to Volume 1 of the Hoy d???a textbook.
