Shell somewhat triangular, inequilateral; umbones flat, recurved, furrowed; furrows irregular, very wide. The broad furrows on the umbones of this shell distinguish it from the other species. Shell triangular, depressed, nearly equilateral, concentrically furrowed, furrows regular; umbones acute, recurved; margin crenate. This species is the most constant in form of this variable genus; but it is readily distinguished by the regular and closely arranged furrows which cover the entire shell. Plate XX.
