The autobiography of one of the most exciting Gaelic soccer players of modern times Paul Galvin's meteoric and often controversial career with the senior Kerry Gaelic football team has seen him win four All-Ireland medals, as well as six Munster championships. His inter-county career began in the late 1990s, winning medal in the Munster minor championship in 1997, and at under-21 level in 1999. But it was in the senior team throughout the 2000s that he came into his own, during a period defined by the great rivalry between Kerry and Tyrone. Galvin's intense, focused approach to the game has at times led to controversy, such as when he was red-carded in the 2006 quarter-final against Armagh, and most notoriously when he knocked a notebook from the hands of referee Paddy Russell in the opening match of the 2008 championship, resulting in a twelve-week suspension. He was also suspended for eight weeks in 2010 after an altercation with Eoin Cadogan in the Munster semi-final replay against Cork. Galvin's raw, unflinching autobiography charts the highs and lows of a career that has fascinated fans for more than a decade.
