Engraved throughout with illustrations by D Maclise, an Irish history, literary and portrait painter and illustrator. Thomas Moore was born in Dublin in 1779. A Irish poet, singer, and songwriter whose most notable works include 'The Minstrel Boy' and 'The Last Rose of Summer'. In a full morocco binding with gilt detailing by Hayday. Externally, smart with just some rubbing to extremities. Front hinge slightly starting but still firm. Signature and blind stamp to front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright with spotting throughout and some patches of offsetting from engravings. Very Good.

' In a full green morocco binding with gilt decoration to the boards and ribbing to the spine, with gilt lettering. Externally, very smart with some shelfwear only. Slight wear to the spine and corners. Front hinge is slightly tender. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright. Spotting to the title page, otherwise just the occasional light spots throughout. Very Good Indeed.
