Title plates on the book spines are faded and stained, but still mostly legible. Inside pages are in relatively good condition, with some faint stains and spots in the (wide) margins. Text is clean and legible. Picture plates in the books are protected by tissue paper--some tissue paper sheets are creased, torn, or detached.
