The proctor produced the licence of Hen. VIII for the change of St John's hospital into a college, and also the papal bull for the suppression of St John's hospital. On 16 Sept. 1519 the proctor 30 produced the foundation of the college and the king's grant for the appropriation of Ospringe to the same, and cited Nic. Metcalff D.D. and Ric. Sharpe B.D. to prove on oath the insufficiency of the college revenues. The abp. appointed 22 Sept. as the time, Otford chapel as the place, 35 of his final sentence; which he delivered then and there the decree already given pp. 118--121, above pp. 158 seq.. pp. 189--201.
