The first time I started this book I hated it!!! I got about a forth the way in and tossed it at the wall.
Then I picked it up again and read more carefully.
This is a challenging and very witty book. It's subtle, it's clever, it's very REAL and you do care about the characters. Don't let your first read be your last. I've read it maybe 5 times now and still find more to enjoy.
If you are a lover of historical fiction as I am you will find nothing to fault with the facts or the feel. It's a wonderful read.
