English summary: The Inscriptions of Late Period Egypt, (Die Inschriften der Spatzeit) is planned as an extensive collection of texts from the late period of Egyptian history (21st to the 30th Dynasties), and includes all epigraphic inscriptions and papyri which are historically relevant in a broad context. Not included in this series are literary, medicinal and magical texts as well as standard funerary texts, such as the Book of the Dead. The collection should provide access to the variously published texts of the Late Period and provide critical information concerning the history, government, religion, and language of this period of time and will offer previously unpublished inscriptions as well as collate a considerable number of older publications. The second volume of this series contains texts from the 22nd to the 24th Dynasties as well as for the Nubian kings before Shabaka (Kashta and Piye/Piankhi), organized according to the individual rulers. Texts, which cannot be clearly assigned to a regnal period, are contained in their own sections and the same is true for texts from the early, middle, and late 22/23rd Dynasties as well as the 22nd- 24th Dynasties when no exact date can be determined. In total, then the volume contains some 34 chapters (30 regnal periods and four miscellaneous chapters), which follow in sequence from the first volume as chapters 12-45. Their arrangement is based on the (inexact) contemporary sequence of the ruler, in part on their (probable) dynastic commonalities or geographic locations. Complete indices make it possible to search according to monuments, persons, and regnal years as well as type of text. This is a reprint of the 2007 edition in a slightly smaller format.
