It was supposed to be a quiet day with antiques...
This is, I just realized, the fourth Love Inspired Suspense novel that I've read from Kerry Johnson and after the first one I pretty much started picking them up as soon as I saw/see her name on the front cover. Hidden Mountain Secrets is the third jaunt back to Tunnel Creek and it proved to be was every bit as good as the first two.
There is plenty of danger and excitement, not to mention romance, in Hidden Mountain Secrets and I have to admit that this is the first time in awhile that I hadn't guessed the villain's identity. But, it is always fun to be surprised now and then. Kerry Johnson certainly did a good job building each block of the story onto the previous one in way that kept the plot moving forward at just the right pace.
Aside from my obvious enjoyment of the genre of this particular Love Inspired novel, romantic suspense, I really liked the fact that both the heroine and her hero are book lovers. And a big shoutout to the author for the cameo of my favorite L.M. Montgomery novel, one that I re-read every few years.
Anyway, Hidden Mountain Secrets was a good read and I am sorry to be saying goodbye to the Holt family and Tunnel Creek. However, I will also be looking forward to hopefully reading more from Kerry Johnson...

A compelling tale!
Hidden Mountain Secrets by Kerry Johnson is an appealing tale. I thought the story was well-written with realistic characters. I enjoyed getting to know Brielle Holt and Lucas Scott. I understood Brielle�s love of antiques (I have a weakness for them myself). It was good to return to Tunnel Creek and catch up with the Holt family. I loved all the action. There were twists and turns which kept things lively. The mystery and suspense had me quickly flipping the pages to find out who was after Brielle. Faith was nicely woven into the story. I liked that the romance played out slowly. I finished Hidden Mountain Secrets with a smile on my face.
