When a sleazy boxing manager (Robert Loggia) spots Tommy defending himself during recess, he offers him quick money to box. He quickly comes under the thumb of unscrupulous boxing promoter Horn (Brian Dennehy), who is involved in fight-fixing and dirty fighting.
