GET THE SUGAR OUT by A.L.Gittleman is a very helpful book. the author begins by clearly laying out the reasons sugar -- although we may love it -- isn't good for us. Then she offers ever so many ways to eat well without completely giving up the sweet taste. Many fruits and vegetables are sweet and can be used in cooking to sweeten a dish. Her recipes tell how to do that.
