Given that Turkish belongs to the same language family as Hungarian and Finnish, two languages known for their difficult grammar, you can anticipate that Turkish grammar won't be easy to learn. This is where this book becomes very handy because it focuses on the grammar. This is not a regular textbook such as Colloquial, Hugo, or Teach Yourself, because they focus on practical everyday use - ordering food etc - and don't go that deeply into the grammar. While this is not the best book for learning colloquial speech it is the best available for getting a solid grip on the grammar. Each chapter is quite short and has translation exercises in them. The book covers beginner's and probably some intermediate-level grammar. This is a great book to use either before or after a more colloquial book such as Teach Yourself Turkish by Pollard.
