I started journaling on my phone recently with the latest apple update and while I was working on my first 'Poem a Day' book and journal. On day one I had already decided that I'd publish the diary as a sneak peek into my life and my ponderings each day. We do love reality TV and a bit of big brother after all, don't we? On day two, it hit me like a train, the realisation that I didn't have to be happy and positive in the book all the time! I could tell the truth about how I felt without any social pressure to put on an act. This was a real revelation to me, as up to now, I realise much of my working life is spent biting my tongue, being diplomatic, hiding my complete and utter fury or frustration and all the while smiling through it, staying calm and remaining professional. This diary is an outlet for me. A literally demented healthcare worker, who is dreaming of being able to leave her job to write for a living - rather than fix everyone else's problems that they have largely created themselves anyway.
