Even away from the usual Turkish environment Barbara Nadel evokes authentic-seeming atmosphere. Violence is depicted in gory detail with the seamy side of Detroit in dominant position. The Turkish elements are stretched out without being really convincing, whilst vicious mad white racists, alas, ring true.
