I LOVED this book. I got caught up on a lot of questions I had about previous books by Lisa Jackson.

Bentz finally blossoms
It is hard to tell a story that is disjointed without losing a reader. The story unfolds nicely and with precision - yet lets the reader wonder where it will go next. That the Detective is skeptical lends itself to the story and allows the reader to believe the truthfulness of the plot. Psychic abilities abound in our society and few people believe. The unfolding of the story has the Detective crossing over to belief of the woman he originally calls a "nutcase". The peril hits dangerously close to home for our beloved hero and one can sense the impending doom. Of course, the hero and heroine will not allow such peril to destroy their lives. That the end does not immediately follow up with marriage, but just a man and a woman trying to find a medium with which to share their lives allows us "mere mortals" to believe that we can also succeed in the game of live/love. A must read for anyone who enjoys a good Jackson novel and also for anyone who likes the humanistic approach without the fairytale endings that oft are produced in books such as these.
