The Absolute Best Trouble Shooter Novel!
One of the most irritating factors of Brockmann's writing is the manner in which she first introduces two characters in one book, adds the chemistry, but doesn't bring the relationship to a boil, or a finish until several books later. This can be seen first with Alyssa and Sam, with Max and Gina, and with the still unresolved tension of Sophia and Decker. I'll admit to sometimes convincing myself I hate it with Alyssa and Sam and Sophia and Deck, but the Max and Gina storyline is one in which it actually makes sense and is necessary that there be these years that pass over the course of the series before they can resolve their issues together. "Breaking Point" is the completion of the Max and Gina storyline - the long-awaited novel. A large part of the novel is told in sweet flashback scenes that provide all the good stuff reader's have been dying to read about Max and Gina since they were dramatically introduced in "Over the Edge".
