The real Survivor
Forget desert islands or the Australian outback for a gruelling ordeal, try marrying an Anglo-American aristocrat of a Scottish dukedom with a penchant for "going to the papers" and selling your private life to the gutter press.
This is a very readable and engaging biography. Lady Colin's life starts, awkwardly, in Jamaica and sees her settling in London with her Russian sons after living some time in New York City and marrying a man who would become her nemisis for many years. This is a well written account of a fascinating life.
