Some of the pieces included, like Frank Reyes' "Princesa" and Toño Rosario's "A Lo Oscuro," both did well in 2006, but some of the others (Joe Veras' "Intentalo Tú," Monchy & Alexandra's "Dos Locos") reached their peak of fame a few years back (2004 and 2002, respectively), while others, like Gisselle's "De Qué Nos Vale" or Grupo Aguakate's "La Culebra," seem to have been included simply because they are series favorites (though, to be fair, neither of the songs is bad). 2007 Año de Éxitos Bachata/Merengue isn't a bad compilation overall, but it's a little deceiving, and it's certainly not the best out there. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
